Carolina Juarez
Ms. Juarez is a licensed Mexican Attorney, who received her law degree from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (I.T.E.S.M) in December 2001. While attending law school Ms. Juarez worked at various law firms in Mexico focusing on real estate and transactional work. Ms. Juarez is bilingual and bicultural.
Ms. Juarez practice at IPG focuses on international business transactions with an emphasis on U.S. Mexico Cross-Border Transactions corporate and real estate matters, and includes the following:
- Counseled U.S. clients on commercial and residential real estate transactions in Mexico, including setting up a Fideicomiso
- Completed incorporation of Mexican subsidiaries for large California Marina Management Company in La Paz, B.C.S., including obtaining necessary permits, licenses, tax registrations and work visas
- Completed acquisition, including due diligence, drafting and negotiating asset purchase agreements of large hotel portfolios in Cancun, Mexico
- Counseled large U.S. based real estate Development Company regarding purchase and development of land within Mexico's prohibited zone, including performing due diligence, condominium regime and drafting and negotiating purchase agreements
- Planning and establishing Mexican Production Facilities of large U.S. industrial coatings company, including completing the incorporation proves and obtaining necessary permits and operating licenses
- Represented large development company in the acquisition and financing of a first-class luxury hotel in Cancun, Mexico
- Structured U.S./Mexico joint venture for the acquisition of a large hotel chain in Mexico’s Riviera Maya
